Meet the Cast of “A Phase”

We’re pleased to announce the official cast of A Phase, a new play by Associate Artistic Director Elise Spoerlein receiving its debut production next February:

Spoerlein is joined in the cast by Shariba Rivers, Dennis Bisto, Dago Soto, Andrew Cutler, and our very own Company Dramaturg David Weiss. We had an overwhelming response to auditions for this World Premiere, our second to produce after 2013’s Beautiful Broken, and we couldn’t be happier that these artists, many of them first-time collaborators, have signed on to take part in bringing this story to life. A Phase takes the well-worn tropes of the “girl finds fulfillment in a man” story and flips them on their ear, as a young woman explores sex as a way of taking her life back. Helming the production will be Director of Programming Spenser Davis.

L to R: Spoerlein, Weiss, Rivers, Soto, Bisto, and Cutler

Also joining us are guest artists Juliana Brecher (Sam U/S), Richard Eisloeffel (Jeff U/S), Evan Sesek (Zack U/S), Josh Servantez (Emilio U/S), and J.T. Nagle (Gabe U/S).

A Phase opens on Leap Year – Monday, February 29th – at The Den Theater. Keep a lookout for additional information as we get through the holiday season, enter the new year, and get closer to putting this new work on its feet.
